Ark acknowledges schools facing “real-terms decreases to funding”

Ark Schools has responded to the GMB’s press release – see below – about job cuts at Burlington Danes Academy in Shepherds Bush, west London, acknowledging that “as many as 38 posts are potentially affected”.

Its statement to this website added that, “like all schools,” the academy is facing “increased costs and real-terms decreases to funding”.

This seems unlikely to be welcome news to the government, which keeps trying to accentuate the positive over school funding.
