Detailed guidance, published yesterday, suggests this will be an exacting process for academy trusts keen to see remuneration for their leaders surging faster than that of their workforce.
Are the days of inflation-busting pay rises for academy trust chief executives numbered?
The question arises, after the Department for Education unveiled its guidance on “senior pay controls for academy trusts”. This contained indications that this might be a policy with the first meaningful implications for executive remuneration since the first academies opened 24 years ago.
