Analysis of schools and advisers on "RISE" lists shows the paradoxes and complexities of school improvement within England's fragmented organisational environment. Plus: we are leaked some "outdated" Ofsted training materials.

 

It is the Labour government’s main vehicle for school improvement. But how effective will its “RISE” – Regional Improvement for Standards and Excellence – advisers be?

With the scheme still in its infancy, it is clearly much too early to give any definitive answer to that question. However, one paradox in relation to some of the schools and advisers in the list has emerged, following exclusive analysis by Education Uncovered.
