An uncomfortable truth about exclusions

As a classically trained professional musician, I have had the privilege of working across sectors as a performer, workshop leader, teacher, peripatetic teacher and inspector both for the Adult Learning Inspectorate and then Ofsted. My classical training provided me with a firm foundation from which I was then able to explore and develop creating music with and for young people, working in theatre settings, small ensembles and orchestras. Central to all my practice has been educational work in formal and informal settings, from early years to degree level students, and lifelong learning with older people.
